NEPALESE EXPERIENCE

4 days Kathmandu (ex-Delhi or Varanasi)

Nepal is a landlocked sovereign kingdom in the Himalayas and its capital Kathmandu (1310m) is a bustling city of colourful sights and sounds with medieval artistic temples and pagodas, cultural diversities and a unique heritage. Vibrant with beautiful and friendly people and surrounded by high peaks, it captivates the visitor with awe.

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

Day 01 – Delhi-Varanasi / Kathmandu – City Tour
This morning you are transferred to the airport to board flight to Kathmandu – the capital of the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. On arrival you are met and transferred to the hotel. Later, embark on a sightseeing tour of the City visiting the Durbar Square with its pagoda-shaped temples, bazaars, the Royal Residential Palace and the Temple of the Living Goddess – a young girl worshipped as a deity by all Nepalese. You will also visit Swayambhunath – the enormous shrine of the Buddha's all seeing eyes. Overnight stay

Day 02 – In Kathmandu – Boudhnath, Pashupatinath & Patan Tour
In the morning visit Boudhnath, the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world, Pashupatinath, one of the most sacred of Nepal's Shiva shrines, located near the holy river Bagmati and the ancient city of Patan. This "City of Beauty" has some of the most fascinating architecture of both Buddhist and Hindu cultures. Also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp presents an opportunity to see the Tibetans weaving carpets and other interesting handicrafts. Rets of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay.

Optional: Nepalese Cultural Program

Day 03 – In Kathmandu – Bhaktapur & Thimi Excursion
This morning visit Bhaktapur, the "City of Devotees", where Nepalese architecture is best seen in its buildings. Also visit the village of Thimi, which is famous for its pottery, making of masks and its enchanting culture of the farmer community. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay

Optional: Mountain Flight to view the breathtaking snow-clad Himalayan Peaks. But subject to weather conditions.

Day 04 – Kathmandu – Outbound
Today you are transferred to the airport to board your flight for onward journey.
