NAWABI SPLENDOUR
2
days Lucknow (ex- Delhi or Varanasi)
Lucknow – a
city synonymous to the Nawabi Culture – impeccable manners,
a courtly diction and a love for the arts. The imperialistic
splendour and magnificence of the Nawabi era has been glorified
and eulogized down the ages by writers, poets and historians
alike. It is also known for its elaborate Avadhi cuisine and
"Chikankaari", the exquisite shadow work embroidery
on fine muslin cloth. Though the city is no longer lavish
as in the past but it still is a serene city of gardens, great
beauty and Old World courtliness and is dotted with remnants
of its rich historic past in the form of mosques, palaces,
mansions and mausoleums.
