DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

Day 01 – Depart London

Day 02 – Arrive Mumbai – City Tour
Early this morning you arrive at Mumbai, the commercial hub of India. You are met and transferred to hotel. Later embark on a sightseeing tour of Mumbai City visiting the Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive and other local sights. Overnight stay.

Day 03– Mumbai / Cochin – City Tour
This morning you are transferred to the airport to board flight to Cochin. On arrival in Cochin you are met and transferred to the hotel. Later embark on a sightseeing tour of this multi faceted city, which displays a blend of peoples and architecture. Visit the Cochin Fort, a busy year around harbor, Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue and other local sights. In the evening enjoy a presentation of the colourfully costumed Kathakali Dance drama. Overnight stay.

Day 04 – Cochin / Munnar
This morning drive to the hill station of Munnar and check into hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore this town famous for its Tea Gardens. Overnight stay.

Day 05 – Munnar / Thekkady – Periyar
This morning drive to Thekkady the base to explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival check into the hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a Boat Ride on Lake Periyar to view wildlife. Overnight stay.

Day 06 – Thekkady / Kumarakom
This morning drive to Kumarakom, a backwater resort bound by the Vembanad Lake on two sides, swaying paddy fields on one and a bird sanctuary on the other. On arrival check into hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the quiet environs. Overnight stay.

Day 07 – Kumarakom / Kottayam – House Boat Cruise
In the morning drive to the Kottayam Jetty to board a "Kettuvallam", the traditional Kerala House Boat. Embark on a cruise on the scenic backwaters towards Alleppey. Overnight on board.

Optional: Early morning sunrise cruise to visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is spread out on the islands on the lake and is home to a large variety of migratory birds.

Day 08 – Alleppey / Trivandrum – Kovalam
Morning on arrival at Alleppey you will drive to Kovalam en route visit Trivandrum, the capital of the State of Kerala and a beautiful seaside city. Here visit the ancient temple of Sri Padmanabhaswamy, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the presiding deity of the town, the Sri Chitra Art Gallery and other local sights. Continue drive to Kovalam and check into beach resort. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at resort.

Day 09 – In Kovalam
Day is at leisure to relax on the beach. Overnight stay.

Optional: Excursion to Kanya Kumari (Cape Comorin) – the end point of the Indian Peninsula where the three seas Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet, to view the spectacular sunset.

Day 10 – Trivandrum / Mumbai – Outbound
Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you are transferred to the Trivandrum airport to board your flight to Mumbai. You are met on arrival and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Late at night you are transferred to the airport to board your midnight flight back home
